In this blog post, you will look at the benefits of using AWS Cloud. The AWS Cloud has come a long way since its inception. Now, it is the leading public cloud provider in the world and supports over 1 million active customers.

This article will discuss some of the reasons why you should consider using AWS for your business needs.

What is Amazon Web Services?

AWS is an on-demand cloud computing platform provided by Amazon. It provides a wide range of services such as storage, databases, analytics, and more.

AWS was originally created to support the needs of Amazon’s eCommerce business but has since expanded into supporting over a million active customers today.

Why use the AWS Cloud?

There are many benefits that come with using the AWS Cloud: cost savings, scalability, and flexibility to name just a few!

Here we will examine some of these in detail below:

a). Cost Savings

First off, it costs less than most other providers out there because you only pay for what you need when you need it rather than having to purchase expensive hardware upfront which can be costly upfront if not used for a period of time.

b). Scalability

With the cloud, you are able to scale up or down as needed which means that if your company is growing quickly and needs more resources you can easily do this without having to invest in expensive hardware upfront.

This proves especially useful during seasonal peaks where demand rises rapidly above regular levels.

c). Flexibility

Thirdly, AWS Cloud provides an incredible amount of flexibility because it uses a pay-as-you-go pricing model offering users options

A good example is spot instances where users bid on unused ECUs (Elastic Compute Units) from other Amazon customers who no longer need them thus allowing companies access to computing power 24 hours a day at very low rates compared to traditional providers out there today!

d). Security

Another big benefit of using the AWS Cloud would be security

This cloud environment uses physical data centers and logically separate infrastructure so that you don’t have to worry about a single customer or company being able to access another’s resources without permission.

e). Lower Latency

Lastly, it offers low latency because customers are placed in their closest geographical location which means end-users will experience faster speeds as opposed to those on physical computers where information is routed over great distances.

Disadvantages of AWS Cloud

Although there are many reasons why you should consider using the AWS Cloud, it is important to be aware that there are some disadvantages as well.

For example:

x). New technology

First off, if your company uses a lot of new technologies then this may not be the best cloud choice for you because Amazon tends to use older hardware which can mean slower speeds and less storage space.

x). Single-source vendor lock-in

Another disadvantage would be being stuck with only one single source vendor thus limiting options going forward in terms of who else you could work with on other projects or business goals down the road.

x). High cost for long-term contracts

Finally, another drawback would have to do with high costs over longer periods such as those offered by Amazon Web Services.

They are great for short-term projects but not so ideal if you are looking to make a long-term commitment.

Should You Use AWS Cloud?

That is a question only you can answer. If your business requires the latest and greatest technology and doesn’t mind paying for it then AWS may be just what you are looking for!

However, if your company tends to use older technologies or has certain security concerns that cannot be met with Amazon Web Services then there are other alternatives out there that might better suit your needs such as Azure Cloud by Microsoft or Google’s Cloud Platform.

Wrapping up benefits of using AWS Cloud

AWS is definitely an incredible service provided by Amazon offering businesses the power of cloud computing at a fraction of what it would cost if you had to purchase the hardware outright.

If your business does not already use AWS, why not give it a try today?

You will be able to quickly scale up or down as needed which means that your company can grow without worrying about how much money upfront this may require!
